The Fenin Assembly elects a new president and closes a fruitful cycle with great milestones for the healthcare industry

Logo feninSisemed has attended the traditional General Assembly of the Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies (Fenin) where it reports on the activities carried out and main current lines of work, and that this edition has special significance due to the change in the Presidency of the entity. María Vila, President of Medtronic in Spain, takes over from Mª Luz López-Carrasco, General Manager of Abbot in Spain, on the new Fenin Board of Directors, which is renewed every six years.

The Federation will continue to promote the strategic axes of its activity, such as value-based purchasing, innovation in medical technology, the fight against technological obsolescence and the digitization of the health system.

Fenin represents more than 500 manufacturing, distributing and importing companies established in Spain, which represents more than 80% of the health technology sector, which generates 25,500 jobs and 7.8 billion billings. Founded in 1977, it was born with the mission of bringing together Spanish companies in this sector, coordinating and defending their general interests and holding their representation before regional, national and European authorities.
