New European regulations and training are the spotlight of the SEEIC healthcare technology workshop
Sisemed attended the workshop entitled "Healthcare Technology in H2020: New Regulations and Official Training", organised by the Spanish Society of Electro-medicine and Clinical Engineering (SEEIC), with support from the Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies (FENIN), which was attended by the main authorities and benchmark entities in the sector.
During the workshop, the legislative changes entailed in the new European regulations on medical devices were discussed, particularly in relation to electro-medical equipment and the software produced by the manufacturers of these products.
The implementation of the qualification of Advanced Technician in Clinical Electro-medicine in the autonomous regions of Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia, Valencia and the Basque Country was also discussed. Sisemed, under the leadership of its Medical Technology Manager, Xavier Pardell, who was also present at the workshop, played a key role in defining the syllabus of the degree and is currently participating in training the faculty that will teach the courses.
